Accountant

Agfa Finance NV is the captive leasing company of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, active in Europe and which is headquartered in Mortsel, Belgium. Agfa Finance supports the Group divisions by offering financial solutions for their customers. We use our own in-house leasesoftware program AGFIS.  To strengthen our accounting department, we are today looking for an accountant.

Job description

As Accountant you are part of the accounting team supervised by the Head of Accounting responsible for

• The accounting from A to Z of a number of permanent establishments and subsidiary of Agfa Finance NV, in accordance with both Belgian and local accounting rules.
• The monthly, quarterly and annual closing of these entities.
• A number of subtasks for the group reporting.
• The monthly intercompany payments via the In-House Bank.
• The periodic VAT returns.
• Preparing the annual accounts in collaboration with local advisors.
• Preparing the external audit files and answering the auditors’ questions.
• The annual tax returns in collaboration with local tax advisors.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent through relevant experience) and 2-3 years of accounting experience in an international environment (experience with leasing is an additional asset).
• Knowledge of the most important IFRS regulations and knowledge of local GAAP rules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Being able to work in a process-oriented manner.
• Strong analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills.
• Be driven and take on challenges when they arise.
• Integrity and customeroriented.
• Creative in finding solutions and able to think 'out of the box'.
• Good knowledge of English, both oral and written. Knowledge of other European languages ​​is a plus.
